Janet Barnard
Having sewn professionally for many years, knitted, embroidered,
crocheted and quilted for relaxation, I began weaving in 1998.
My emphasis is on hand-woven clothing and fashion accessories,
but also includes small rugs, wall hangings and felted items.
I hand-dye many of the fibers used and am fond of incorporating
African and Middle Eastern motifs in my work. I am a member
of the Potomac Craftsmen Fiber Guild, and the Weaving Guild
of Greater Baltimore. I became a member of Potomac Craftsmen
Gallery in 2004.
